About Us

For nearly a decade, we’ve been reviewing audio equipment and sharing our honest opinions on the products we test. We use our comprehensive understanding and love of Bluetooth speakers and headphones to offer useful and honest audio advice based on our own experiences.

Our team does comprehensive testing on each speaker we review, looking at how they perform in a testing environment and out in the real world. We use this information to provide easy-to-understand, but in-depth details that make it easier to choose the right speaker when it comes time to buy.

Meet Our Team

Our team? A mix of hardcore audio nerds and passionate speaker enthusiasts who love what they do. We get excited about testing new gear, debating sound quality, and helping people find the perfect speaker for their needs. If it connects via Bluetooth and plays music, chances are we’ve got strong opinions about it—and we’re not shy about sharing them.

How We Choose the Speakers We Review

We don’t follow some rigid formula when picking speakers to review—because where’s the fun in that? Instead, we focus on what grabs our attention: new releases, standout flagship models, and sometimes hidden gems from lesser-known brands. We’ve been surprised enough times to know that big names don’t always mean the best sound.

When putting together our “best lists“, we lean on a mix of personal hands-on experience, real customer feedback, and insights from retail partners. We want to ensure there’s something for everyone, whether you’re on a tight budget or ready to splurge. One thing we never do? Compromise our recommendations.

Brands do send us products to test sometimes (which we appreciate), but we never take payment for coverage. We mostly buy the speakers ourselves to ensure we’re giving you the real deal. And if a product isn’t great, we’ll say so. Not everything earns the Outer Audio seal of approval—because, frankly, not everything deserves it.

What Sets Us Apart?

We don’t just read spec sheets and call it a day. We test these speakers, really test them. That means running them through professional equipment to get the hard data and spending real time using them—because sound isn’t just about numbers; it’s about how it feels. We catch the little quirks and details other reviewers might miss, and we aren’t afraid to call them out.

Get in touch if you’d like us to listen to your speaker and review them.
