For nearly a decade, we’ve been reviewing audio equipment and sharing our honest opinions on the products we test. In that time, we’ve gained a comprehensive understanding of the Bluetooth speaker market—how the products perform, the strengths and weaknesses of various brands, and what to look for in the latest releases. Our content combines first-hand experience with industry expertise and retail relationships, providing you with important insight.
How We Select Our Products
While we don’t adhere to strict criteria for selecting speakers to review, we prioritize products that capture our interest, new releases, and popular flagship models. We also feature lesser-known brands, as we’ve learned that it’s easy to be surprised sometimes.
When compiling our “best” lists, we draw on personal experience, customer feedback, and insights from our retail partners. Our goal is to include speakers across a range of price points to ensure we cater to everyone, while always maintaining the integrity of our recommendations.
Although we welcome brands reaching out to send us products for review, we do not accept payment in exchange for coverage. For the most part, however, we purchase our own products for review. Our reviews are always honest, and not every product earns the Outer Audio seal of approval.
What Makes Us Different?
Our team is made up of passionate individuals, all eager to test the latest gear and see how it compares to competitors and predecessors. We believe in sharing both the positives and negatives to help you make informed purchasing decisions. Transparency is key, and when our experience with a product is limited, we’ll let you know.
